Tips for Shiny Hair

Tips for Shiny Hair
Your hair will shine naturally if the cuticles – the outside layer of ovelapping scales, just like roof scales - lie flat.

How to Get Shiny Hair
Hair that's chemically processed (permed or dyed) or dry normally indicates that the hair cuticle is damaged, therefore not lying flat and hair looks dull and matte.

Hair repairing masks and intensive treatments and conditioners can help you get shiny hair, but if hair is sensitisized it is damaged at the internal level (cortex) and need restructuring.

Salon professional treatments can help, but prevention is better then cure, so ensure that you seek good advice about your daily hair routine.

Dark hair naturally reflects more light than fair, hence why rich, glossy chestnut colors can look shinier than most of the blonde shades.

Hair also shines when it is healthy, so ensure your diet is hair-friendly – eat lots of blood producing foods like seeds, nuts, oily fish and leafy green veggies for optimum health and shiny happy hair.

Use a mild shampoo that is best for your hair type and crucially rinse well – two minutes at each process (shampoo and condition).

Rinsing out product residue properly will really make hair far shinier.
Also, use lukewarm water on lengths to encourage and promote natural shine.
